"Disabled care home residents have appealed to the Government for the right to eat soft-boiled eggs. Staff at the home are not allowed to serve soft-cooked eggs due to risks from salmonella poisoning.
"But resident Eva Hughes said: 'We think it is all wrong. Other people can have their eggs any way they choose.'"
When the local Council bans the breakfast of their choice, the residents find their protest is taken up by a nation. But is the battle really about eggs?
