Making Nectar is a three-part documentary that looks behind the scenes at the production of Nectar.
Part 1 tells the story behind Nectar and how the film brings to the screen a fresh representation of disabled people.
Part 2 raises the curtain on rollercoaster of the shoot.
Part 3 demonstrates how innovative approaches make the film accessible to deaf and visually impaired audiences.
The documentary is available on DVD alongside Nectar. Access options on the DVD allow audio description, captioning and sign language interpretation to be switched on or off.
The DVD is of relevance to production companies, community film organisations, industry, higher education and schools media courses, production facilities houses and independent filmmakers.
"I was particularly impressed by how the film and documentary work at so many different levels - how the simple love story subtly intertwines with complex Deaf cultural, sign language, disability and access issues. Enthralling."
