Dear Diary: Bristol to Tijuana

Written and presented by Liz Crow
Produced by Jules Wilkinson
BBC Radio 4
30 minutes 1996

A young woman with a chronic illness makes a trip to a clinic in Mexico for a programme of treatment. For five weeks, she journeys each day form California to the clinic in the border town of Tijuana. Bristol to Tijuana is her story, an account not only of the complications and contradictions of living with illness, but also of medical culture shock and cultural contrasts.

"Deeply moving"
